“Active searchers”:Social media use and women’s reproductive information seeking behavior——based on an extended CMIS model
摘要: 社交媒体使用是影响公众与健康有关的态度认知和行为方式的重要机制。本研究在全面“三孩”政策背景下,基于信息寻求综合模型,构建社交媒体平台女性生育信息寻求拓展模型,对373位调查对象在社交媒体中的生育信息寻求行为及其影响因素进行了考察。结构方程模型分析结果表明,在生育情境中,直接经验、信念、信息载体特征均正向影响信息载体效用,信息载体特征和信息载体效用共同决定生育信息寻求行为。同时,研究发现作为新引入信息寻求综合模型的前因因素,健康意识和社会支持对女性生育信息寻求也存在显著影响。在此基础上,我们讨论了本研究的理论价值和现实意义。
Abstract: Social media use is an important mechanism that influences public perceptions of health-related attitudes and behaviors. In the context of the comprehensive three-child policy, this study built an expanded model of female reproductive information seeking on social media platforms based on the comprehensive model of information seeking, and investigated the reproductive information seeking behavior and influencing factors of 373 respondents on social media. The results of structural equation model analysis show that direct experience, belief and characteristics of information carrier positively affect the utility of information carrier, and the characteristics and utility of information carrier jointly determine the information seeking behavior of fertility. At the same time, the study found that health awareness and social support, as the antecedent factors of the newly introduced comprehensive information seeking model, also have significant effects on female reproductive information seeking. On this basis, we discuss the theoretical value and practical significance of this study.
