Research on the Impact of Digital Trade on Green Total Factor Productivity
摘要: 当前,以数据为主要生产因素的数字贸易在大数据、人工智能、云计算等新一代数字技术的推动下发展迅速。数字贸易的发展既给我国的经济发展提供了新的机会也注入了新的动力。在资源短缺、环境污染严重的当下,可持续发展已成为世界各国政府最重视的经济发展目标之一。数字贸易是否能够促进绿色全要素生产率的发展已经是一个全球性问题。基于2008—2020年中国30个省份的面板数据,文章从理论和实证两个角度研究了数字贸易对绿色全要素生产率总量影响的机制。研究表明,数字贸易对绿色全要素生产率的总体增长产生了重大影响,而且这种影响具有时间和地区异质性。
Abstract: Digital trade, with data as the main production factor, is developing rapidly, driven by new-generation digital technologies such as big data, artifi cial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing, providing new opportunities and invigorating China's economic development. In an era of resource scarcity and serious environmental pollution, sustainable development has become a paramount economic objective worldwide. The global concern centers around whether digital trade can promote the development of green total factor productivity. Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2008 to 2020, we investigated the impact mechanism of digital trade on aggregate green total factor productivity from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. Results indicate that digital trade signifi cantly infl uences the aggregate growth of green total factor productivity, and that such an infl uence is temporally and regionally heterogeneous.
