The Civilization Philosophy and Narrative Innovation of Chinese Modernization
摘要: 在西方学界的文明史研究中,文明叙事是以话语为载体的意义空间生产,在这一范式中,文明概念既是概念史研究的对象,也是意识形态特征鲜明的思考“他者”的方式,并在现代化和现代性理论中呈现。中国式现代化的创新性实践,经由理论抽象生成了一种新的文明哲学,即中国式现代化文明观。这种总体性的新文明观在现代化的中国实践的前提下,形成了对文明的独特理解框架,包括“文明的总体结构观”“文明的延续更新观”“文明的世界互鉴观”“文明的人民立场观”,回应了中国式现代化面对的难题和挑战,超越了西方现代化“线性文明观”“文明优劣论”“西方中心论”的话语垄断,是一种术语革命与叙事创新。中国式现代化文明观的生成是科学与自主的产物,以理论呼应了现实,蕴含着建设中华民族现代文明的指向。
Abstract: In Western studies on the history of civilization, civilization narration is usually held to be a production ofmeaning space with discourse as its carrier. According to this paradigm, the concept of civilization is not onlyan object for the study of conceptual history but also a way of thinking about “ the other” with distinctiveideological characteristics, both of which are presented in theories of modernization and modernity. Theinnovative practice of Chinese modernization, however, has generated a new type of civilization philosophythrough theoretical abstraction, that is, a view of civilization in Chinese modernization. This holistic approachto civilization has formed a unique framework of understanding for civilization under the premise of China'spractice of modernization, including views on“ holistic structure of civilization” “ continuation and renewal ofcivilization” “ mutual learning between civilizations ”, along with “ upholding the People's position incivilization” . This new understanding of civilization has responded to problems and challenges confrontingChinese modernization and transcended the discourse monopoly of Western modernization such as “the view oflinear civilization”“the theory of superior civilization”, as well as“the theory of western centrism”. It realizesboth a revolution of terminology and an innovation in narration. Its formation is the co-product of science andautonomy, which echoes the reality with theory and contains the direction of building the modern Chinesecivilization.
