From Marx to Stiegler: The Evolutionary Logic of Production in General Organology

Abstract: The concept of organs by Marx has multiple dimensions and indications, with the most basic indication being that humans exist in a prosthetic way in capitalist production, and the automation system of machines is used as a metaphorical representation. This metaphorical concept reflects a bidirectional process between organ production and worker self production. Stiegler pointed out that Marx’s externalized concept of organs does not have the general "ideological" logic of organology. Stiegler creatively upgraded "organs" to general organology, elevating Marx’s expression of organs from externalization to externalization. General organology is not only a "limb" in the Marxist sense, but also a general way of life production and survival in the human historical sense. The third preservation of numbers is a general knowledge organ that shapes collective individualization, with dual meanings of consciousness morphology and pharmacology in the digital age. The general organology of the digital age no longer produces the "proletariat", but a new "proletarianized" mainstream class. The digital general organology is the ecology and anthropology of digitalization. Every contemporary individual living in the era of supercomputing and hyperdata is a programmed existence by the algorithmic king.
