时间流逝监控:挽留青春的认知驱力

Time lapse monitoring (TLM): The cognitive drive to retain youth

摘要: 精神时代,“自我时间”愈发珍重。作为易流逝并不可逆的稀缺资源,时间在中文语境下,常被赋予“宿命色彩”。面对时间流逝:如何变被动为主动?变消极为积极?变失控为可控?这是关切成长与幸福的终极课题。根据元认知监控理论,构建了新概念——时间流逝监控(time lapse monitoring, TLM)。结合访谈结果编制了《时间流逝监控问卷》,对5642 名大学生的问卷测评结果进行了探索性因子分析、验证性因子分析、信度分析与效度分析。数据驱动的结果表明:时间流逝监控包含意义感、主动性、效能感和广泛度四个维度。自编问卷信效度良好,可作为测评时间流逝监控水平或开展纵向追踪研究的标准化工具。此外,时间流逝监控与时间流逝感、时间流逝体验、学习投入、生命意义感呈正相关,与睡眠拖延、一般拖延呈负相关。总之,倡导青年学生监控时间流逝,具有生命历程与教育发展意义。

Abstract: In the spiritual age, the emphasis on “self-time” has reached a new height at both the individual and social levels. As a scarce resource that is easily and irreversibly passed, time and its passage are often given a negative and passive fatalistic color. In the face of time lapsing, how do we change from a passive state to an active state in the face of the passage of time? from a negative state to a positive state? from out of control to under control? These are philosophical and psychological topics concerned with growth and happiness. Needless to say, cognitive efforts in early adulthood are particularly important in answering these questions. Based on metacognitive monitoring and self-determination theory, the concept of “time lapse monitoring” was constructed. Based on the interview findings, the Time Lapse Monitoring Questionnaire was developed and
subjected to exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and validity analysis using data from 5642 college students. The data-driven results indicate that time lapse monitoring encompasses four dimensions: sense of meaning, initiative in time lapse monitoring, efficacy of time lapse monitoring, and extent or breath of time lapse monitoring. The self-designed questionnaire demonstrates good reliability and validity, making it a standardized tool suitable for evaluating the level of time lapse monitoring among young college students or conducting longitudinal tracking research. Furthermore, there is a positive correlation between time lapse monitoring and feeling of time passage, experience of time passing, learning engagement, and sense of life meaning; whereas there is a negative correlation between time lapse monitoring and
sleep procrastination as well as general procrastination. In summary, advocating for young students to monitor the passage of time holds significance for their life course development and educational progress.
